Kat McCarthy

Updated on April 18, 2013

Just Who Is Kat McCarthy Anyway?

That my friend would depend entirely on which aspect of which Kat McCarthy you were refering to. :)

With the 'acknowledgement' of that theory, I am then free to say that:

We will do our best to explore that very question in this lens.

As Kat is (meaning I am) an evolving spirit that grows quickly from an open mind, big heart and a healthy imagination, this lens will change frequently and likely grow very, very long.

Hopefully it will be entertaining for you. :)

My disclaimer and a favor please!

You would think that writing about myself would be the easiest thing on the planet to do since I spend every second of my life with me.

And the truth is - writing about myself is the most difficult thing of all for me to write about. I'm really sure that I'm not unique in that feeling. ;) Maybe you can relate?

That begs the question: What am I afraid of?

Every time I think I have the answer to that question I realize how absurd my fear is and it melts away like the illusion it was; in the same manner that sand slips between my fingers when I try to pick up a handful.

That being said a question does still linger: If I talk about what I admire about myself and force that I believe I am, will I appear to think to much of myself?

That question might just hold me back so if you read this page and you see me playing small, the favor I ask is that you call me on it so that I can step up more fully into being the best version of me I can be.

My disclaimer is this: This page are the opinions and views of some aspects of Kat McCarthy and therefore does not necessarily represent the opinion and views of the whole integrated being known as Kat McCarthy.

Who I am in the World

In other words, what am I doing here? LOL

I am a writer. Writing is something that I am compelled to do. I love having the ability to express those things that reside inside of me. It makes my heart sing that I can contribute to others through my written word.

I am also an artist and I work mainly in pencil and colored pencil. My artwork is just a hobby so far and it is one I really enjoy.

I am a lover of people and I have spent my life learning how to heal the way people see themselves and empower them to their own greatest potential.

If you would benefit from creating a fresh perspective of yourself, give me a call (519-304-1335) or send me a message via one of the websites below.

This is what Audrey Louise has to say:

You have been an inspiration, motivation, and support from the heart-felt words you share in your writing to the powerful words of wisdom provided when you didn't have to say a thing! You reach out in ways that are immeasurable! I love your friendship, your kindness, your warmth, your love, and your strength of character! You continually guide me to BELIEVE in myself . . . and do this for others all the time, too! Your compassion is enormous! Your selflessness is incomparable!

The Sky Outside

I took this photo just outside my home on the heels of a storm.

How old is too old to change?

Do you believe we can change in meaningful ways in our older years?

This is what RJ has to say:

Last night (September 10, 2008), I spoke with Kat McCarthy for approximately 1-1/2 hours on the telephone. Drawing upon her life experience and tools as a "Life Coach", she helped me to examine a number of issues effectively blocking my progress in the moment of "Now"

That discussion proved to be invaluable! I received a telephone call at 6:30 this morning advising me that a follow up job interview I had been waiting almost 2 weeks for was scheduled for this afternoon at 1:00 PM.

Is it possible for a job interview to go perfectly? Abso-damn-lutely!!! Not only will I receive the $$$ that I asked for, but I will also have the choice of a couple of different positions within the company. One of which as a trainer, affords me the opportunity to travel all over the planet.

"Thank You", Kat for your invaluable assistance in helping me to align myself with my intentions, allowing me to realize my goals almost instantaneously.

What I Am Presently Reading

Leaders are readers and so it is important to always be reading something that will propel one forward. This is what I am presently filling my head with and once I am finished, I will offer a little review of it for your reading pleasure.

Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men - One Message
Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men - One Message
Wow!! Who knew!! They really do want us all to be rich and they have very good reasons for it!! DT and RK have teamed up in an effort to super charge their message - having money is nothing more then an attitude about life and the more of us who have money, the less control those other guys have. :)

Where do I live?

Skiptvet Norway

I live on a farm far in the country side with my danish husband Peter and my Bengal cat Dezi.

It's kind of a bit far from the city for my tastes but there are many things to appreciate about where we live. We live in a red wooden house, as you can see in the picture. We have a nice garden and the scenery is beautiful.

I always thought it would be fun to live in Europe for a while. Well, here I am, and yes I do love it. It is surprising how similar it is to living in Canada and it is also surprising how different it is.

What Coach Larry Hochman has to say:

Kat makes stuff happen. She`s a dynamic combination of mover and shaker, caregiver and straight talking, truth telling compassionate being.

What I will be reading next!

I like to have my next book planned out so that I don't have any lapsed time with nothing new to fill my head with. :)

A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future
A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future
This book was recommended in 'Why we want you to be rich' and it discusses the realities of living in the west in the new era coming. We have been dominated here by a left brain mentality which is now moving to the eastern cultures who can do the same things we used to much cheaper. Those of us who are right brained, creative and heart based will be those who continue to live well here in North America.

Ordered and awaiting delivery!

Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness
Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness
I have long been a believer in the law of attraction and Jerry & Ester Hicks have been one of the richest sources of information on LOA I've ever found. So of course, I am going order any books that they print the minute that I can. :)

This is what Penny Hall had to say:

You are an awesome coach.

I appreciate the fact that you do not coach from a set program.

You really listen to me and based on where I am at that moment follow your intuition to move me forward from where I am to where I want to be.

You have an amazing ability to get right to the heart of the matter, help me see the truth, then gently point me in the right direction.

Working with you these past few weeks has helped me get past my self imposed blocks. I am growing and expanding in ways I never dreamed.

Thank you for sharing your gifts, insights, wisdom, encouragement and love.

I am a better person for having met you. It is an honor to call you my coach and friend.

Recently Read and Loved!

True to his form, Gregg Braden has once again put complex ideas into usable bite size pieces that don't require an engineering degree to understand. Pretty darn good for an engineer I say. LOL

The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits
The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits
Gregg Braden has been one of my favorite authors for many years. His books are perfect for logical thinkers like me who are trying to put the emotionally based world of manfestation and spiritual matters into some kind of workable understanding. I am particularly happy with this book, Braden has recaptured his beautiful expression of the potential and possibility lying before human kind in the years to come.

The Books That Changed My Life

These 5 books empowered me in ways that nothing else has. Each addresses a different part of life and all together they addressed and empowered me in most of the major parts of my life experience.

If you want to get past the parts of your belief system that hold you back the most, these books pretty much cover the whole gambit.

One or two of these books are no longer in print so you will have to look for used copies. I highly recommend these books as they are life altering.

It is really hard to make a lens about myself so if you could help me out that would be awesome.

Did I miss anything?

Am I being completely honest with myself?

Who do you think I am?

Or any other darn thing you want to say. :)
